Testosterone is a sex hormone that plays a role in maintaining your weight, muscle strength, and energy. Low testosterone levels can make it harder to gain muscle and can lead to weight gain, particularly around your stomach.

Symptoms of low testosterone levels include:

  • Erectile Dysfunction

  • Lowered Sex Drive

  • Decreased Muscle Mass

  • Decreased Growth of Body Hair

  • Fatigue

  • Hot Flashes

  • Trouble Concentrating

The Test

Using a blood spot home testing kit, the blood is then analysed and the level of testosterone is reported against and compared to an acceptable range for your sex and age. The test will determine if there is a low, normal or high amount of testosterone in your blood.

Testosterone levels vary throughout the day and are highest in the morning. For this reason, its best for you to take a sample of your blood between 7:00 and 10:00 a.m.
